The owners and management of Gourmet Providores are dedicated to ensuring that all customers and employees are provided with the highest quality food products available. We have adopted the HACCP principles in preparing our food safety policy and program.
The aim of this program is to:
- Identify any hazards that could jeopardise product wholesomeness during production, storage and sale;
- Implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and specific Work Instructions (WI) to control the identified hazards;
- Minimise any risks to product wholesomeness;
- Monitor the effectiveness of the SOP’s and WI’s in protecting wholesomeness;
- Implement corrective actions when SOP’s and WI’s are ineffective; and
- Keep records of monitoring and corrective actions where required
In addition:
- The Food Safety Program (FSP) is available to all Gourmet Providores staff and interested parties.
- All Gourmet Providores staff are advised of their responsibilities and the records that are to be kept. They also receive food safety training that is appropriate for their level of responsibility / food handling
- The Food Safety Program is available to be viewed by an Environmental Health Officer or Auditor if required.
Management ensure that all staff are adequately trained in safe and hygienic work practices and ensure that all operations effectively prevent physical and microbiological contamination of all food products and any risks to the health and safety of personnel.
